Selenizza® product - Natural Additive Asphaltite

Natural asphaltites referred to as Selenizza^® according to the different types that characterize them (SLN/COL/NAR) are commonly known as natural bitumen’s. These are additives partly substituted for refinery bitumen’s used in the different types of road asphalts (AC, HMA, SMA etc.) and all types of Mastic asphalts.

They bring to the binder a change in penetration, in ring ball temperature, and above all they increase rheological performance in terms of resistance to rutting, fatigue, and they increase the module of asphalt.

They provide anti-ageing qualities to bituminous mixtures, and they have a much lower environmental impact than bitumen derived from refining, which is why they are referred to as green bitumen.

The different types of Selenizza^® have unique asphaltic, maltene, resins, sulfur levels that differentiate them from other products known under identical generic names regardless of country of origin.

Selenizza^® is used as an additive for the manufacture of:

high performance bituminous mix asphalts
high rutting resistant mastic asphalts
high quality drilling muds
high-quality road additives in a mix based on elastomers/plastomers/fibers etc…

Packaging

Selenizza^® is a stable product easy storable:

in powder and pellets with particles size from 0 to less 1 mm or from 0 to 4 mm max in big bag of .5 to 1.4 tons.
in powder and pellets with particles size from 0 to less 1 mm or from 0 to 4 mm max in fusible bag of 15 kg or paper bag from 20 to 25 kg.
other characteristics such as particle size and packaging can be achieved upon request; other specific particle sizes and packaging options are available.
